Please support the Giardino Family during this very challenging time as they are in desperate need of funds to help pay for medical bills not covered by insurance and for assistance with some household tasks like meals, laundry and housekeeping services, and transportation to chemotherapy.

- Steph (wife, mother) had a major stroke in 2020 and continues physical therapy to regain full use of her left hand. This makes many household and daily tasks including meal prep and driving especially difficult.
- Pete (husband, father) was diagnosed with lymphoma in his spine earlier this year and underwent four months chemotherapy last Spring and summer, followed by spinal surgery to repair the damaged vertebrae in September.
- Most recently this October, tests showed an aggressively-growing tumor after Pete experienced leg pain so severe he was transported by ambulance to the ER, suffering temporary paralysis from the waist down and rushed into emergency neurosurgery to prevent permanent paraplegia.
- On October 15th, Pete is beginning an experimental protocol and will endure several more rounds of chemo to try to eradicate his cancer completely.
The Giardino family continues to face these struggles with humor, grit, and love. Please join with us in supporting this amazingly strong family.

Since our inception in 2009, Life Guard Ecumenical Foundation has helped more than 250 local families in need of assistance, from grocery store gift cards to utility bills, mortgage payments and tax bills.
