Thanks to everyone who supported and attended the fundraiser for Brian Allison on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at the Fair Haven Columbus Club. The 2022 Life Guard 5K was a great success. Together, we were able to surpass our fundraising goal and raise more than $26,000 to help local families in need. Thanks to your donations and support, Life Guard has been able to help 16 local families so far in 2022, including: We helped a homeless family secure an apartment and got them started in their new home. We helped a family whose wife / mother was unable to work due to a form of epilepsy. Their disability insurance hadn’t started and the family lost crucial income which caused them to fall behind on their bills and also left them with no discretionary income. Life Guard Ecumenical... Our 4th annual Life Guard 5K Run/Walk for Charity was a great success. Thanks to our fundraising teams, donors, and sponsors, we surpassed our fundraising goal of $30,000 by more than $5,000! Congratulations to the top finishers in the 2019 Life Guard 5K. Thanks to your donations and support, Life Guard helped more than 10 local families in need this year (2019). Some highlights include: We paid numerous mortgage payments for a local family whose husband/father passed away. Life Guard also purchased several food store gift cards for the family, helping to bridge the gap while the mother found employment. We helped a family from Neptune who has been struggling to make ends meet due to their triplets' ongoing and chronic medical issues.... More

Thank you to everyone who supported our Running For Ryan fundraising campaign. Spearheaded by the tireless Tracey McGee, the campaign raised more than $12,000 to help Ryan Shaughnessy and his family in their battle against leukemia. In addition to her months-long fundraising efforts, Tracey ran and completed the 2019 Boston Marathon on April 15th to further inspire Ryan and his family.

Fundraising for the 3rd annual Life Guard 5K Run/Walk for Charity surpassed our goal of $15,000 by more than $2,000! The 5K race capped off a 4-week fundraising drive to benefit Life Guard Ecumenical Foundation as participants completed our 5-kilometer course in Sea Bright, NJ on November 10, 2018. We are pleased to announce that Life Guard Ecumenical Foundation raised over $5,500 for the "From Fear to Hope" campaign. The campaign got a huge boost by our very own John Amabile, who organized and performed a charity benefit concert at Dublin House on June 6, 2018. These funds will go a long way in helping improve the living situation of a local, 26-year-old woman who suffers from a debilitating spinal condition. The second annual running of the Life Guard 5K was a great success! On the brisk morning of Nov 19, 2016, 100 participants completed our 5-kilometer course in Shrewsbury, NJ. The 5K race capped off a 6-week fundraising drive to benefit Life Guard Ecumenical Foundation. A special thanks to all the participants, donors, sponsors and volunteers for helping make the 2016 Life Guard 5K a huge success.

Thanks to our gracious donors, our online Team Andres fundraiser was a success. LGEF was able to generate over $5,400 in online donations for the family of Jennifer Andres, our friend and neighbor who was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. Combined with our matching donation of $2,000, the total amount raised for the Andres family was more than $7,400. Thanks again to all who contributed to help Jennifer and her family in their cancer battle.
